Our place is in Upstate NY.   If you are close, we suggest you drive over and pick your fish up directly from us.  We will be moving our facilities to allow us year long production, in a Greenhouse a bit south in the hills of the Finger Lakes.  This will happen sometime in the next 2 years.  Until then, we are right off the thruway.

Shipping...

Otherwise, we can ship to the lower 48.  We have a very high success rate because of the care we take in packaging your fish for transport

  1. We use high density foam to insulate your package

  2. We ship overnight or second day depending on the time of year, distance and type of transport.

  3. We triple bag your fish to add protection, insulation and to minimize puncturing

  4. We wrap in newspaper

  5. Large orders are split up and come in multiple triple bags.

  6. We quarantine and purge the fish for 24 to 48 hours, prior to shipping, so that they have emptied themselves of waste.

  7. We bring to the transport pickup facility close to their last drop-off time to minimize time in their possession.

  8. We fill the bags with pure oxygen to provide the fish with the best environment that will last the longest.

  9. In winter months, we will ship with 70+ hour heat-packs to minimize damaging temperature swings.

We ship on Mondays and Tuesdays to make sure we can get it to you before the weekend.  You do not want your new fish sitting on a truck over the weekend.

In fact, we expect you to be there to greet your fish.  We need you to sign to verify this.  We guarantee live, healthy fish delivery.  But only if you sign for them within a specific window of time.  Your fish need to have oxygen and they will consume more of it, the longer they sit in a package unopened.  Please see our guarantee page for more details...

We have some generic Buy buttons on our Purchase page.  This is an average shipping rate and might not be best for your location.   Try it out and email us if you would like us to create a custom quote. Cannot guarantee it will be different though...

We do not make money on shipping, just recouping our costs for packaging, preparing and the carrier costs.  This cost will vary depending on distance from our hatchery, season and quantity.
