Economics...

If you are trying to produce food, the economics are pretty good!  You can get feed pretty inexpensively, if you buy it in 50lb bags.  You will employ the economics of scale if you raise a bunch  of fish at a time.   If you do it that way and assume your cost for tank and setup is behind you, here is a back of the envelope, conservative estimate.


  1. It will cost you 2-3$ in food to grow out a 3-5Lb tilapia.  So even at our single fish price, you are  growing fresh, healthy fish, much less expensively than anywhere else!  Of course there is a bit of work you need to do, but it is a good deal.  Some people have non treated lawn and veggie gardens and throw weeds and other green  stuffs to further reduce the costs.  And if you buy in quantity from us it is even cheaper!
